The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 DT1 is a summer tyre with ultra-high performance that features a steering response of the DT1 original equipment version. It uses asymmetric pattern along with an aramid and nylon belt. The belt is referred to as Dynamic Response Technology by Michelin. Bi-Compound technology allows the outer side to be a hybrid elastomer dry-road cornering compound, while the inner side has a combination of functional elastomers and silica that have front to back water-clearing grooves.

DT1 is the sidewall designation of this version’s vehicle-specific tuning. Matching this tyre will keep the vehicle’s intended specification where it is already fitted. These tyres are amazing. There is even traction in rain, being wet conditions. I have had Pirelli PZero (A for wet, F for fuel) and Michelin Pilot Supersports in the same dimensions. Personally, I think Pilot Sport 4s are better than both, especially the PZero, which is bad with grip until it warms up.

These provide substantially improved traction relative to the initial Pilot Sports. The vehicle is somewhat better at retaining contact with the surface in dry conditions, but the stability improvements in wet conditions are significant.

Great traction in any weather. These tyres absorb potholes better than my old Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, and there is still no downside that I can feel. The car is very stable.
