The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is a summer SUV tyre specialising in the braking of heavier vehicles on wet roads and designed to be used in warmer weather. It has a unique compound including silica and a new elastomer designed to help the rubber grip on wet roads. This tyre design has a continuous central rib, which helps accelerate and transfer braking forces through the tread. The design features vertical and horizontal grooves to help disperse water. Strength and durability for the SUV loads are designed into the casing. Supporting cornering are the outer blocks that are reinforced.

This product has replaced the Latitude Sport and in the wet braking tests, Michelin claims it outperforms its predecessor by stopping 2.7m shorter. Some sizes of the Sport 3 have a run-flat design ZP, which allow the tyre to go on supporting the vehicle, after losing air, and allowing the vehicle to travel at a limited speed. All versions of the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 including the run-flat design ZP are available for purchase on Tyres.co.uk.

Purchased a new set of four tyres for my 2020 Honda CRV, these are direct replacements for the original factory ones. They are performing just as expected. The first set lasted just under 30,000 miles and had about 3mm of tread left. They are quiet and grip the road well regardless of the weather conditions.

The only tyres I go for are the LS3 or the Pilot Sport - both are exceptional. On my Alfa Stelvio they almost last 25,000 miles.
