Product description & features

The Michelin CrossClimate+ is an all-season tyre that holds the 3PMSF marking for certified winter use by retaining its wet and snowy tread features as it wears. Unlike standard all-season tyres, the CrossClimate+ is designed to offer winter traction, unlike traditional all-season tyres that compromiser grip and dry traction as they wear. Its directional V-shaped design has pronounced outer edges to channel water and snow away from the centre of the tyre and assist with lateral grip. Michelin’s EverGrip Technologies incorporates progressively widening grooves, allowing the tyre to maintain its wet-weather channel for later use.

The CrossClimate+ is the intermediate version of the CrossClimate, and the version before the CrossClimate 2, Michelin’s latest all-season tyre. The CrossClimate+ features a rubber that provides grip at lower temperatures. At Tyres.co.uk, we stock Michelin CrossClimate+.

Highlights

  • All-season tyre

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 205/60R15 95V XL
While I have liked the grip on these tyres and have appreciated it regardless of the weather, I have noticed that the last few sets I bought have started forming cracks on the sidewall at around 20,000 miles. When I contacted Michelin about it, they basically told me that it was not a problem. I still have 5mm of tread left, which I guess is fairly disappointing. I would lean towards not buying Michelin tyres again.

That's right, I sold the car and having Michelin Cross Climates on it probably helped seal the deal.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 205/60R15 95V XL
I used to have energy savers, but now I've changed to cross climate tyres. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test them in extreme conditions, so I don't see much of a difference from the energy savers. But the cross climate tyres do give be more confidence.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 205/60R15 95V XL
Great! The tread design on these tyres is certainly advantageous for off-road conditions, such as parking or driving on the edge of the road. They are superb for normal driving and also for difficult off-road driving. They also provide a lot of confidence on icy, frosty, slushy, and snowy roads. I have found that modern eco tyres are poor in handling the wintery conditions.
