The Kumho Road Venture AT52 is an all-terrain tyre designed to maintain traction on gravel, dirt, and muddy lanes while keeping SUVs, 4x4s, and pick-up trucks road legal. The tread design helps with both braking and cornering on paved roads. The AT52 uses stepped grooves to clear compacted dirt and stones, and utilises slits in the tread to provide additional bite on wet and loose surfaces. The tread and sidewall are designed with a rubber that protects from cuts and rough terrain.

The Kumho Road Venture AT52 is the replacement of the Road Venture AT51, and is the first in the range to be issued the 3PMSF and M+S designations. The AT52 is available in an XL construction which allows for reinforced sidewalls. Tyres.co.uk sells the Kumho Road Venture AT52.

After a year and a half and over 8,000 miles, they still look new. Amazing grip in snow and mud. Good road behaviour with no sound compared to normal tyres. I will get these again on my next car.

Tyre road grip gave good confidence in both wet and dry conditions. When I first went off-roading to assist a friend who got stuck in the mud, I easily towed him out, and even drove along the muddy track where he got stuck.

So far, fantastic. However, the design of the tyre, and in particular the sidewall, is asymmetrical and shows no signs of a rotational direction. Also, it's not possible to achieve a mirror fit on both sides of the car!

The tyres have excelled in every area. They cope with the wet as well as the dry and do not aquaplane when driving through puddles. They are equally as capable off-road. Road noise is nicely subdued, and they are comfy with excellent stability. They wear very evenly after 5,000 miles and I would certainly be keen to buy another set.

I was surprised by how quiet the Kumho AT tyres are, and how well they perform in the wet. Admittedly, the ones I replaced were old AT tyres over ten years old, and had gone hard, become quite noisy, and slippery.
