Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).

The Ventus S1 Evo 3 (K127E) is Hankook’s max performance summer tyre designed for electric vehicles. The S1 Evo 3 uses an aramid hybrid belt to minimise the effects of thermal expansion of the tread at high speed. The tyre uses a 2-ply rayon carcass and high strength steel belts to provide the car casing the strength needed to support the weight of a battery pack. Hankook’s Dual Pitch Technology places differently sized tread sections in sequence to control pattern noise.
The K127E suffix is used for the electric vehicle version of the Ventus S1 Evo 3, which is developed to be the original equipment for the Porsche Taycan. The tyres that have the NF0 mark on the sidewall of the tyres have passed Porsche’s approval specification for the Taycan, so it is important that when replacing original Taycan tyres, the replacement tyres also have the NF0 marking.
