Goodyear Wrangler HP Duratrac tyres are designed for customers using their vehicles for both daily road use and off-road adventures. Unlike traditional off-road tyres, the HP Duratracs are purposely designed with a road-friendly tread pattern. The tread pattern allows the blocks to interlock and use Goodyear’s TractiveGroove Technology. The edges are stepped to aid traction in mud and snow. The outer blocks are open and spaced out to allow for clearance of mud and gravel. Reinforced sidewalls support the tyre on rough off-road tracks.

Duratrac's tread is marked with 3PMSF which is a rating that permits the tyre to be classified as a winter tyre due to its inherent traction capabilities in snow. Duratracs also have an M+S designation. Some sizes also come with a rim protector that assists in protecting the wheel from kerb damage. I fitted these tyres a few weeks ago, and so far I am very happy regarding their performance. On-road handling is surprisingly good for an off-road tyre. Off-road, they are exceptional, giving good grip and stability even through mud and sand. I did wear them down a little faster than expected when doing some heavy off-road driving, but really no major complaints.

The tread is aggressive, so it does pretty well on wet roads. I was surprised to see how heavy they were; however, they did grip well on the off-road tracks. I am happy with them right now, although I will see how they wear over time. They could use a bit more comfort on the road.

I've been using these Goodyear Wrangler HP Duratrac tyres for a few months and I couldn't be happier. They've dealt with everything from off-road adventures to regular daily drives.
