Product description & features

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is a summer tyre designed for optimum performance during braking and cornering on both dry and wet surfaces. Goodyear’s Grip Booster Technology is critical for the adhesive quality of the tyre, giving the rubber greater ability to grip the road. A performance-oriented asymmetric pattern features large outer cornering blocks with inner water-shedding longitudinal grooves. Goodyear’s Active Braking Technology is used to optimise the braking contact area of the tyre.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is a successor of the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 within Goodyear's summer performance tyre lineup. Other tyres within the lineup are available in XL (extra load) construction and run-flat versions. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 (including run-flat and XL versions) are available for purchase on Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Summer tyre for wet and dry
  • Asymmetric tread with outer cornering blocks
  • Inner water-shedding grooves

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 3) 225/55R17 97Y
In my experience, I'd certainly recommend them. The tyres seem to give a better ride and seem to be good in the wet. I've managed to get 10% off, which is good when buying 21" wheels.

Brilliant tyre, had one before. After hitting a pothole and blowing one tyre, it still got me to the garage safely to get it changed.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 3) 225/55R17 97Y
The tyres continue to provide functional grip and handling under a variety of conditions. Tread wear is consistent, as all four tyres show between 6 and 6.5mm remaining.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 3) 225/55R17 97Y
I've noticed less fuel consumption with this brand, and the rear tyres last about 23,000 miles. The front tyres last even longer. No negatives to mention the local garage.
