The Goodyear Eagle F1 A/T is a road-oriented all-terrain tyre designed primarily for use on-road, with some capability for off-road use on gravel and dry mud tracks. Its open pattern uses large blocks with ample spacing that generate edges for traction on loose surfaces. The tread pattern has a couple of design features that aid wet weather performance. The first is a series of grooves that run the length of the tread pattern and aid water evacuation. The second is a series of fine slits that add edges to the pattern and aid wet weather braking. The tyre has a reinforced casing with sturdy sidewalls to withstand the impact of driving on pot-holed and stony roads and to carry heavy loads.
