The Firestone FT524 is a motorway and regional haulage-designed commercial trailer axle tyre. Even wear and stable straight-line tracking are characteristics of this tread design. The multi-rib design runs continuous bands across the road surface allowing for stable trailer tracking. Water is directed through the tread by wide grooves running from front to back. The closed blocks located at the outer edges of the tread limit excessive movement during tight turns and depot manoeuvres.
The robust casing and belt construction are designed to withstand the daily rigours of haulage, including approach to kerbs.
