Compasal SPORTCROSS is a summer tyre for SUVs designed primarily for use on A roads and dual carriageways in spring and summer across the UK. It has a directional tread pattern and uses wide grooves running around the tyre to channel water away in the rain. Water is directed outward due to the presence of angled channels in the tread pattern. It features a tyre casing that has been strengthened to accommodate the higher mass and centre of gravity that is typical of SUV tyre applications.
The outer edge has blocks that bend and change shape when the tyre is loaded and bend as the tyre goes through a turn and lane change. The support structure that is internal is designed to enhance even distribution of the tread wear across the tyre when used under normal road operating conditions.
