I have had these tyres for just two weeks and so far I am really impressed. They have improved the way the car handles, are comfortable, and the road noise is acceptable (after all, any tyre makes noise at speed). I can't comment on the wear yet as they are still new. Overall, I am really impressed with their performance.

175/50 R16 tyres are low-profile tyres for smaller vehicles with 16-inch wheels. These numbers are fairly straightforward. The first number, 175, refers to the width of the tyre in millimetres. The second number, which in this case is 50, is the aspect ratio. This means that the height of the sidewall is 50% of 175mm which is 88mm. R16 designates a radial tyre that fits a 16-inch rim. The overall diameter of the wheel is 581mm. The shallow sidewall means the tyre has less cushioning which makes it uncomfortable on rough roads. Tyres.co.uk sells 175/50 R16 tyres.
