Why does the registration search not show my tyre size?

When the registration search does not return results

In rare cases, our registration search may not return a tyre size for your vehicle. There are a few common reasons for this.

Possible causes

• Imported vehicles — Vehicles imported from outside the UK may not be in the DVLA database with full tyre specification data
• Modified vehicles — If the wheels or suspension have been changed from the original specification
• Very new models — Recently released vehicles may not yet be fully listed in our database
• Personalised plates — In rare cases, personalised registrations can cause lookup issues

What to do instead

Switch to the search by size option and enter your tyre width, profile and rim diameter manually. You can find these numbers on the sidewall of your current tyres. If you need help, contact us.
