Why are the tyre details from the registration search different to those on my vehicle?

When registration results differ from your current tyres

If the tyre size shown in our registration search does not match what is currently fitted on your vehicle, it usually means the wheels or tyres have been changed from the original factory specification at some point.

Common reasons

• A previous owner fitted aftermarket alloy wheels in a different size
• The dealership may have upgraded the wheels as part of a package or promotion
• The vehicle has been modified with non-standard suspension or wheels

What to do

In most cases, go by the tyres currently fitted on your vehicle. Check the sidewall for the size markings and use our search by size option. If you want to revert to the original manufacturer specification, the registration search results will show you what the factory intended.
