The Wanli SA302 is a summer tyre designed for passenger vehicles. An important feature of the Wanli SA302 is its ability to clear water from the surface of the tread. This is accomplished by a series of wide grooves that encircle the tyre, along with a number of fine slits that cross the tread face. The major grooves drain the water from the contact patch. The design is intended to lower tread noise.

The Wanli SA302 is designed for summer driving with an emphasis on performance on both dry and wet roads. The tread design allows for a quick surface drainage, while the tread pattern helps provide a quieter ride on the motorway and less urban driving. Compared to the Avon ZZR's which were used previously, these budget tyres feel like they offer significantly less grip, and are both easier to start losing grip as well as being easier to lose grip and slide. While this is a relatively easy to deal with problem if you change the way you drive.
