Tristar’s POWERVAN2 RF19 is a summer van tyre incorporating stable handling for light commercial vehicles to ensure stability and durability due to the reinforced casing for the daily knocks and loads of van work. Most ribs of the tread design are broad and work to provide support to the rubber under load. The main grooves run in a fore and aft direction and pass water through the pattern while the slits in the tread provide cutting edges for grip on damp surfaces.
The reinforced structure is designed for loaded vans operating within the urban stop and go traffic and then utilising the motorway, and where the dual purpose of the van is engaged, doing daily stop and go work mixed with sustained driving. The summer design is for 7 degrees centrigrade and above and, for the reinforced van construction, the load index and speed rating are to be specified on the sidewall to be in agreement with the vehicles specifications.
