The Tristar Ecopower 4 is a summer tyre that uses wide grooves along its circumference to quickly disperse water from contact patches on wet roads. Its tread uses a silica-based compound that improves grip on wet roads while lowering rolling resistance. Its tread also uses a continuous centre rib to maintain the tread shape. Small incisions are made across the tread blocks.
An XL construction is also available. Tyres with the XL designation on the sidewall are made for higher loads. XL construction also modifies the tyre to summer specifications which are applicable for average conditions above 7 degrees celcius.
