The Nordexx NU7000 is a high-performance summer tyre that features an asymmetric tread pattern and is designed with rapid clearance of water caused when driving over wet roads. It is designed with four wide grooves that run from front to back to channel water away from under the tyre. The outer edge is designed with large blocks to provide a firmer shape in that part of the tyre when negotiating bends. The inner edge of the rib is designed with slits that help the rib provide additional gripping edges when driving over wet roads. The central rib aids in the stability of the tyre at higher speeds.
With asymmetric tread layout of tyres, it is common to find water-clearing grooves on the inner side of the tread while the outer side is packed with large blocks. Given the NU7000’s design, it is clear that the tyre is ideal in warmer weather due to the summer compound designed for temperatures over approximately 7 degrees.
