The Nankang SP-7 is a summer touring tyre designed specifically for wet roads. It has 4 wide drainage grooves that run circumferentially. These grooves carry water away through the tread. It has a rigid centre rib positioned between the grooves to facilitate high speed straight line stability. Lateral channels that are angled cut the tread and assist in the removal of water when the tyre is steered laterally on a wet road.

I bought four Nankang tyres, two in April 2022 and another two in December 2022. I hardly drove any distance when I saw cracks on the tyres. On closer inspection, all four developed cracks, even the ones that had been on the car for less than four months! I contacted the garage, and they kindly replaced the tyres. They swapped them for a different brand because I didn't want to go with Nankangs again. I now have four Falken tyres and they feel much better.

Tyre review for Nankang SP-7 265/70R16 112S
The performance on roads is similar to my old tyres but these have better grip on softer surfaces because of the block pattern tread. So far they seem to be wearing well. There is a bit more road noise but that is not a problem for me. Overall I am very satisfied and would buy them again.
