The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect is a summer tyre that has a special focus on track day performance. This product also has the benefit of pressure and temperature sensors that are part of the Track Connect system from Michelin. These sensors allow drivers to get real time data on their track performance. Thanks to the focus on track performance, these summer tyres are perfectly legal to use on public roads.

The Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect has an asymmetric tread pattern that has performance rib blocks to give support while cornering. Back to front grooves take care of the wet weather and give a quick path out of the tread. The outer portion of the tread is dedicated to rubber that performs in dry conditions while the inner portion is dedicated to rubber that supports performance in wet conditions. A stiff casing is great for snap changes in direction and for high speed braking.

Track Connect is a system that connects sensors to an app and helps track drivers optimise their performance by giving them real time data on track performance. Excellent tyre! Very communicative, and a big step up from the 4S in terms of dry grip. It really makes me enjoy driving. I now especially love going out to find some curves to drive through. I would recommend it to any dry weather car owner who likes spirited driving.

They are not great in the wet as they are semi slicks and start with only 5mm of tread when new. In the dry, they do perform exceptionally well. I was not impressed with the garage guarantee, I had bulge on the sidewall, and contacted the garage, but they closed the case as I did not respond quick enough to the inspection and removal of my tyres.
