Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 3 255/40R18 99Y XL
There's a significant improvement in grip and handling, especially apparent when changing from worn to fresh tyres. A small increase in tyre noise is noted, however, steering feels more accurate, and the ride feels smoother over small bumps. There was a drop in efficiency rating from C to F (from Davanti DX640 to Michelin Pilot Sport 3), so it was expected that fuel consumption would increase. For the Davanti's, I averaged 37.8mpg and now I am getting approximately 36.1mpg over 400 miles on the Michelins.
