The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is a summer SUV tyre specialising in the braking of heavier vehicles on wet roads and designed to be used in warmer weather. It has a unique compound including silica and a new elastomer designed to help the rubber grip on wet roads. This tyre design has a continuous central rib, which helps accelerate and transfer braking forces through the tread. The design features vertical and horizontal grooves to help disperse water. Strength and durability for the SUV loads are designed into the casing. Supporting cornering are the outer blocks that are reinforced.

This product has replaced the Latitude Sport and in the wet braking tests, Michelin claims it outperforms its predecessor by stopping 2.7m shorter. Some sizes of the Sport 3 have a run-flat design ZP, which allow the tyre to go on supporting the vehicle, after losing air, and allowing the vehicle to travel at a limited speed. All versions of the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 including the run-flat design ZP are available for purchase on Tyres.co.uk.

The car came fitted with these tyres and, despite the price, I have been very pleased with them. I only changed them as they were flagged on an MOT for some cracking on the sidewalls after six years, despite there still being over 2.5mm of tread remaining. They are great, durable tyres.

I find these tyres heavy, and due to their low profile I have had two blowouts this year from easily encountering potholes. The tyres look rather fragile.

These tyres last for years without needing to be replaced. They fit the car perfectly, and they work great in all conditions, no matter the season. It was time to replace them because of age, and I've noticed they were starting to develop cracks along the edges which would cause MOT failures. Otherwise, the tyres were still dependable and good.

Every time I have to top up the pressure on my tyres. Front ones go down to 34 PSI. It's terrible. The delivery service was great and I think the price was reasonable (I don't remember exactly). But a tyre that is always losing pressure is worthless.
