The Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 SUV (K117A) is designed for high performance in summer conditions with handling characteristics built specifically for heavier vehicles. To achieve this, Hankook employs their High Grip Silica Compound and a casing specifically designed for SUV use. The tyre features the Aqua Driving Control layout with four longitudinal grooves that work to channel water and control the tread in wet driving conditions. A three-layer block design innovatively changes the shape of the tread blocks as the tyre wears to maintain the tread pattern throughout the tyre's lifespan.

The K117A was designed and engineered specifically as the SUV version of the Ventus S1 Evo 2 tyre, and the SUV version is equipped with a reinforced construction specifically designed for the greater weight and higher centre of gravity of an SUV. The K117A has been replaced with the Ventus S1 Evo 3 SUV, the newer summer performance SUV tyre by Hankook. At Tyres.co.uk, we have stock for the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 SUV.

I had the same tyres as my vehicle and considering that I tow a caravan, it's necessary for them to be dependable. I had preemptively bought 2 new tyres from a garage since one had an unfixable puncture and the tread was worn down on the back tyres. I found the same brand online for £50 each cheaper than you, meaning I saved £100 in total. On £160 tyres, that is pretty substantial.

They manage great on wet tarmac, even when you are going fast over big puddles. I have not had any issues with aquaplaning. Wet and dry braking is reliable. The ride is harder than with other brands I've had. Wear looks typical. Overall, a reasonable tyre for the money.

Great performance under all weather conditions. Great handling in the wet. Noise for a low profile tyre (285/35R22) is kept to a minimum. Foam inserts significantly reduce noise on the motorway. Original tyres lasted well, with 30k miles on them before reaching 2.5mm tread.

I have sold the car, so I am not sure. They were very quiet, but I saw that compared to the Avons, which was not good, they seemed to use more fuel. The grip seemed okay.
