The Hankook Ventus Prime 3 (K125) tyre is an asymmetric tread pattern summer tyre for touring passenger cars featuring optimised braking on wet roads and water evacuation. The asymmetric tread has four wide grooves running from the inner edge to the outer edge. The angled grooves and stiff braking and steering (load) blocks on the outside rib are combined with brace blocks on the rib for outer steering support. The silica compound is supposed to improve wet grip and reduce rolling resistance. Noise Care Pitch technology involves a varying pitch of the tread blocks to minimise impact noise.

The Ventus Prime 3 (K125) tyre came after the Ventus Prime 2 (K115) and was succeeded by the Ventus Prime 4 (K135). It also has an XL construction that offers increased carrying capacity. I bought these to replace my old ones from the same brand. The old set had good grip and lasted a long time. I changed them out before hitting the minimum legal tread depth because the car was getting a little unstable. I think this is more due to the chassis of the car being more sensitive than the actual tyres because the ride is stable again with the new set.

I completely agree with you. From the moment I got onto the road, it was noticeably more quiet and the grip was excellent. I was especially impressed with the usual wet conditions on the M8 where your brakes and tyres are pushed to the limit!
