The Hankook Ventus Prime 3 (K125) tyre is an asymmetric tread pattern summer tyre for touring passenger cars featuring optimised braking on wet roads and water evacuation. The asymmetric tread has four wide grooves running from the inner edge to the outer edge. The angled grooves and stiff braking and steering (load) blocks on the outside rib are combined with brace blocks on the rib for outer steering support. The silica compound is supposed to improve wet grip and reduce rolling resistance. Noise Care Pitch technology involves a varying pitch of the tread blocks to minimise impact noise.

The Ventus Prime 3 (K125) tyre came after the Ventus Prime 2 (K115) and was succeeded by the Ventus Prime 4 (K135). It also has an XL construction that offers increased carrying capacity. EU labelling is determined by tyre size. Tyres.co.uk sells the Hankook Ventus Prime 3 (K125) tyres, including the reinforced XL constructions.

I had a puncture in the original tyre which is a run flat so it needed replacing. I always go for matching sets of quality tyres so bought the same one again. Hankook tyres are used on a lot of Mini models.

Based on the rain spell, grip in the wet is decent. I haven't tested the grip in the cold yet so I can't comment on icy handling. The noise level is fairly low which is good. I dont see the fuel economy as a negative even if it is lower than the previous Michelins. I would probably buy these again.
