The Hankook Kinergy 4S (H740) is a passenger tyre that uses a V-shaped tread to drive water out and adapt to different road temperatures, earning it the 3PMSF winter marking. Constructed to reduce the size of road contact area, the wide lateral grooves work to remove standing water from the contact patch. The silica compound of the tyre is dry and wet traction focused, is resistant to wear, and reduces road noise.

The H740 design was succeeded by the H750, Hankook’s all-season passenger tyre. The direction of tread rotation is indicated on the sidewall and must be adhered to for the channels to function. Tyres.co.uk has the Hankook Kinergy 4S (H740) available to order.

You have to experience these tyres for yourself in winter conditions to understand how good they are. I started with two on my front wheel drive car and a few times I would get rear slips because the front tyres gripped really well and it felt misleadingly stable. Ideally you would replace all four at once. Now I have four of them and because of the wide gaps in the tread they perform exceptionally in the wet. The best part is you can use them all throughout the year. They are also really quiet for an all season tyre. Well worth the money.

That's what I expected. The last year's model handled snow really well. This year's model has better grip so I will be looking forward to these again. They are a little louder than before but it's not a problem.

Notable performance, I have noticed the difference in bad weather. These tyres were the same type as the ones I had bought here before. They are appropriate for all seasons and I feel safer driving in bad weather conditions.

My driving has taken a place in Devon. Made the roads have a number of changes including sharp, and fast crossroads as well as mud and rain on the corners. I needed a set of cross climate tyres which gave me grip and the confidence to tackle the corners. They are well priced and offer a lot of performance around the corners.

These all-season tyres perform well in the wet conditions of winter. While I haven't tested them in snow, I believe they will perform better than standard road tyres.

Very silent and handles well in the wet. I've tested them on ice and snow as well, which is partly why I selected all-season tyres, and they did exceptionally well in both cases.

I never thought about it before, but the last time I needed new tyres for my car, I compared Sumitomo with another brand. Because the last time I changed tyres was just before winter and the roads were icy and slippery, I decided to replace all the tyres. But I had no problems with these tyres, even during the winter.

Ascent did not perform well when it came to stopping distance, so I am a little concerned about how it would handle wet surfaces. That said, overall all-weather performance was rather good.
