Goodyear's Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 tyre is built with an emphasis on snow traction and protection against aquaplaning in heavy rain. It features a V-shaped directional tread, which helps channel water and clear snow on the surface of the tyre. Goodyear employs their Snow Grip Technology, which, along with the centre tread slits, helps to form snow-biting edges. The blocks on the outer tread are designed to remain firm under the pressure of snow and assist with steering on dry roads. The grooves on the outer tread help channel water and are part of Aqua Control Technology.
According to Goodyear, the Gen-3 has 5% improved resistance to aquaplaning and 4% improvement to braking and 3% improvement to handling on dry roads as compared to the Vector 4Seasons Gen-2. The SealTech version is designed to seal punctures of up to 5mm in the tread area. Tyres.co.uk has stock of both SealTech and non-SealTech variants of the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3.
