Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 3) SUV 295/40R20 106Y
Last year I bought a car and it came with Pirelli tyres. After about 15,000 miles of use, all four had around 2.5mm of tread left, and all the tread had worn in the middle. Because Pirelli's are so expensive, I decided to try a different brand of premium tyre. I chose the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and had a fitment with one of Tyres.co.uk's partners. These tyres are similarly priced and provide a comparable experience and level of performance to the older tyres in terms of handling. After increasing the pressure some, they became more comfortable than the previous set. The tyre noise is also a lot better than the previous set which is nice because the Macan gets driven a lot. Long journeys are no longer a pain. Although I haven't had the chance to use these tyres much in the rain, so far they have been great for the price (about £60 cheaper per corner than the equivalent tyres from Pirelli and Michelin). I am interested to see how the tyres are over time. For sporty 4x4s, I recommend these tyres. On the rims, they look fine, although the sidewalls could do with being a little more interesting. That is my only complaint.
