Firemax FM518 is a summer tyre designed for quick drainage of surface water. The main grooves of the FM518 run circumferentially around the tyre. Smaller grooves run laterally and assist the main grooves in removing water to the edge of the tyre, away from the contact patch. Summer tyres are unlikely to need water removal from the contact patch. To aid braking and cornering on a damp surface, the FM518 offers fine slits on the blocks. The outer blocks are large and continuous to assist in providing stability for directional changes.
