The Yokohama Geolandar X-CV G057 is an SUV and crossover premium all season tyre designed especially for wet roads and tread life. It uses a special high-silica rubber compound that grips and is less prone to wear. It has an asymmetric tread with 4 grooves that run around the tyre and remove water from the centre. There are cornering support blocks along the outer edge and there are 3D sipes that are used to create fully interlocked sipes to provide added edges for wet and light snow roads.

The tread has a 5 pitch tread sequence to help mitigate road noise. This is done by varying the block pattern and pitch throughout the tread. M+S marking indicates its all season construction, and reinforced construction is available for vehicles with higher requirements. The tyres perform very well. There may be a slight decrease in fuel efficiency due to the new tread. Small stones can get stuck in the tread because it is quite wide. I would absolutely recommend these tyres to other people.

These tyres deal with cold conditions more efficiently compared to the older Goodyear summer tyres and also feel stable in the rain. There has been no change in noise levels as well. I have not yet tested them in hot weather but I am quite confident about their performance. Up until now, I am confident in summer tyres. I have also done 3000 miles with these tyres and it is impressive to see no wear on them considering the size and weight of my vehicle.

These tyres are just as good as the Goodyear ones I had before, except they are a lot cheaper. As other people have mentioned, the tread grooves are deep and wide which means stones could get stuck in them. I haven't tried them on ice, but they have a lot of grip for normal driving in the rain.
