Product description & features

The Yokohama Advan Sport V105 is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre with an emphasis on high-speed steering for performance cars. The V105 uses a silica-rich tread compound, and thanks to Yokohama’s Orange Oil technology, uses orange oil for flexibility in rubber. The asymmetric tread design has large cornering blocks with water channels in the tread running from the front to the back in addition to 4 central grooves. The V105 uses Matrix Body Ply, Yokohama’s casing design which balances load pressure, and helps the tyre maintain its shape for improved performance at speed.

The V105 has some versions with sidewall markings of MO, Mercedes-Benz’s, and N0, Porsche’s sidewall approval, which indicates the tyre was made to conform to each Maker’s Regulation; it is recommended the same markings are used to replace original-equipment tyre. Yokohama later replaced the V105 with the Advan Sport V107. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the Advan Sport V105.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 245/50R19 105W XL
These tyres are excellent and show impressive durability. The rear tyres still have just over half of their tread left after 13,000 miles, which is very impressive for a heavy 280bhp Mercedes. Replacements will probably be needed closer to 20,000 miles. The front ones are hardly worn, and they should be able to go past 30,000 miles! I will definitely be buying these again when it is time to change them.

I have no problems at all, although I tend to drive slowly and only when the weather is nice these days.

While driving on country roads in my Mazda MX5 I feel confident to drive it as it is meant to be driven.
