Product description & features

The Yokohama Advan Sport V105 is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre with an emphasis on high-speed steering for performance cars. The V105 uses a silica-rich tread compound, and thanks to Yokohama’s Orange Oil technology, uses orange oil for flexibility in rubber. The asymmetric tread design has large cornering blocks with water channels in the tread running from the front to the back in addition to 4 central grooves. The V105 uses Matrix Body Ply, Yokohama’s casing design which balances load pressure, and helps the tyre maintain its shape for improved performance at speed.

The V105 has some versions with sidewall markings of MO, Mercedes-Benz’s, and N0, Porsche’s sidewall approval, which indicates the tyre was made to conform to each Maker’s Regulation; it is recommended the same markings are used to replace original-equipment tyre. Yokohama later replaced the V105 with the Advan Sport V107. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the Advan Sport V105.

I was hoping they would change the car, and they did, now it has better road grip and more precise handling.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 245/45R20 103Y XL
Please consider that I changed from Advan Neova AD08R tyres. In cold and wet situations, as well as warm and dry situations, Advan Sport tyres provide excellent performance. They are more comfortable and quieter than my past tyres, although, ironically, the steering feels a bit less sharp. It isn't as responsive. In warm dry weather, it is expected that they do not perform as good as the AD08Rs, but they do well in wet and cold weather. As I drive the car all year round, I appreciate the balance. I miss AD08Rs more in the warmer weather.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 245/45R20 103Y XL
I not impressed by these tyres. They are loud, especially at corners and when turning. I am not happy with their performance and I will not buy these tyres again.
