Product description & features

The Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS is a summer tyre that is road-legal and ultra-high-performance. It has a stiffer casing and reinforced sidewalls that allow the AD08RS to hold its shape and outperform competitors in track day sessions. The large blocks on the edge provide support for the tyre during turn-in and mid-corner loading. The AD08RS provides multiple channels for water evacuation in heavy rain due to the wide longitudinal grooves and angled cross channels.

The AD08RS is the successor of the AD08R and has been revised to satisfy the ECE R117-02 S2WR2 regulation for rolling resistance, wet grip, and external noise. It also provides the reinforced XL construction in a few select sizes for cars that require a higher load capacity. Tyres.co.uk has Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS and XL construction tyres in stock.

Highlights

  • Summer road-legal performance tyre
  • Stiffer casing, reinforced sidewalls
  • Wide grooves and angled water channels

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 235/35R19 87W
These tyres take some time to reach their peak performance, but they perform exceptionally well on the road, and especially on the track. While they are not road tyres, they still provide a good level of comfort and good wet weather handling.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 235/35R19 87W
I have driven in very wet weather before and feel more confident taking corners in these tyres. I haven't used them on a track day yet. I have noticed my old front tyres feel less safe in very wet conditions.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 235/35R19 87W
When compared to the Sports Cup 2's, these sidewalls are softer, resulting in a bit more lean during tight cornering. However, these tyres do have a stickier grip, allowing speed to be maintained during high speed driving. They may even be better than the Michelins in winter conditions. The tread pattern leaves a nice design on the garage floor.

I have only used these on dry tracks so far. I did not buy them for use on the road or for wet track conditions.

The former Yokohama tyres were quite old and honestly dangerous in the rain, these new ones are so much better and way more dependable. I feel like the car is working with me now!

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 235/35R19 87W
Since the mid-2010's these have been the only tyres I've had on my front wheels. I had admired these tyres from the photos for a long time before I could actually put them on my wheels. In the rain, I believe they are just as safe as the other tyres I have tried, but their firm sidewall is what sets them apart. I especially enjoy the feedback from the front. Other tyres I've tried include Yokohama and I found them to be quite sluggish in comparison. I'm quite hooked on these tyres and I seize every opportunity to buy a new pair when I see a good deal.

These tyres are suitable for a sports car and can be used on track and normal roads. There are no clear downsides to using them day to day.

Great on dry surfaces, not as great with heavy precipitation or very wet conditions.

Great grip from these tyres. I currently have Yokohama tyres on the front of my car and I can't wait to get them on the back too.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 235/35R19 87W
I still haven't driven on wet roads as I tend to avoid them. I've got a larger front tyre now, which provides much greater traction. This could cause the car to oversteer, which would be exciting, but it's not practical for day to day driving.
