Product description & features

The Yokohama A.drive AA01 is a summer tyre for passenger cars. Yokohama designed the AA01 with drainage and rolling noise in mind. There are 4 longitudinal grooves in the symmetrical tread that break the pattern into 5 ribs. Yokohama’s A.drive summer passenger car tyres feature a drainage system designed to quickly evacuate water from contact patch. Yokohama has also designed summer tyres with a 5 pitch system which vary the length of the tyre tread blocks in order to break the repetitive pattern noise that is generated at high speeds.

For the AA01, Yokohama has decided to not use the BlueEarth designation. The AA01 has a V speed rating, which is up to 149 mph, therefore the sidewall should be marked for the same rating as the tyre that is being replaced. Tyres.co.uk has Yokohama A.drive AA01 in stock.

Highlights

  • Summer passenger car tyre
  • Four front-to-back tread grooves
  • Five-pitch system reduces road noise

Yokohama grip looks good as always. These tyres can be quite loud depending on the type of road.

Tyre review for Yokohama A.Drive AA01 165/65R15 81T
After reading multiple reviews stating how quiet these tyres are, I was encouraged to purchase them. Overall, they provide a smoother ride than the worn Michelins I had before. I guess sound was an area I was expecting perhaps a little too much from. I realise now that possibly I should've replaced rear tyres too. I intend to get two more once the rear ones are worn out.
