Product description & features

The max-performance Pilot Sport 5 is a summer tyre with a focus on the best steering response on warm wet and dry pavements. With Michelin’s Dynamic Response Technology the belt at the tyre tread is constructed with a hybrid of aramid and nylon. The blocks on the tyre’s outer edge are firm for cornering. Blocks are slit and spaced for additional grip to wet pavements. Water is evacuated by the rearward and forward spaced inner side grooves.

Compared to its predecessor the Pilot Sport 4, it features sidewalls with a velvet effect for a dark textured finish thanks to the Premium Touch Design. Michelin’s tread wear indicator, Wear2Check, is a built-in feature of the sidewall. Type XL of the reinforced construction is an option for select specifications. The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is available for purchase from Tyres.co.uk.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 5 215/45R17 91Y XL
Excellent grip in all weather conditions and gives you confidence while handling when you pushing to the limit. When it comes to standard tyres, noise, fuel consumption, and grip do not appear to increase.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 5 215/45R17 91Y XL
I had no issues with these tyres in any weather condition. They are also quieter and more comfortable than my old Michelin PS4S tyres, especially at bumps. They feel softer, which is a bonus for everyday driving. I have driven these to wet and cold British weather and I have had great grip and confidence in corners and while braking. Summer is here in the UK, so I had the chance to drive them in dry and warm weather and again I had great grip and control. I'm interested to see how these tyres perform in the UK coastline. I have a trip planned there and it should really put these tyres to the test.
