The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 is a performance winter tyre built for sporty saloons, coupés and high-powered hatchbacks that still need confident control when temperatures drop. Designed to work effectively below around 7°C, it suits everyday UK winter driving on cold, wet roads, as well as occasional slush and snow, without sacrificing the precise feel drivers expect at motorway speeds.

Its tread pattern uses deep circumferential grooves to move water away quickly, helping reduce the chance of aquaplaning. A dense network of sipes adds extra biting edges for traction on compacted snow and improves braking on cold, damp surfaces. An optimised contact patch helps keep the footprint stable under acceleration and cornering, supporting predictable handling when grip levels change.

A strong internal construction helps maintain stability at higher speeds while promoting even wear over the season. These tyres are also tuned to keep road noise and ride firmness in check for a winter-focused performance option. The Pilot Alpin PA4 is available in a wide selection of 17–21 inch sizes, with certain fitments offered as run-flat (ZP) and with vehicle-specific approvals for some premium models.
