The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is a summer SUV tyre specialising in the braking of heavier vehicles on wet roads and designed to be used in warmer weather. It has a unique compound including silica and a new elastomer designed to help the rubber grip on wet roads. This tyre design has a continuous central rib, which helps accelerate and transfer braking forces through the tread. The design features vertical and horizontal grooves to help disperse water. Strength and durability for the SUV loads are designed into the casing. Supporting cornering are the outer blocks that are reinforced.

This product has replaced the Latitude Sport and in the wet braking tests, Michelin claims it outperforms its predecessor by stopping 2.7m shorter. Some sizes of the Sport 3 have a run-flat design ZP, which allow the tyre to go on supporting the vehicle, after losing air, and allowing the vehicle to travel at a limited speed. All versions of the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 including the run-flat design ZP are available for purchase on Tyres.co.uk.

I'm sure it isn't a problem regarding the balance weights, given that the wheels with the tyres were balanced five times before any replacements. It seems like the tyres still have some issues. I did speak to the garage and they did exchange two of the major issues. I still feel some shaking, so it seems like the other two will need to be exchanged as well.

There was terrible noise coming from the road and it worsened to the point that I had to have the wheel bearings checked. The noise is definitely from the tyres.

These tyres suit the Audi Q5 perfectly. They appear to be an improvement on the original Continental ones. They wear well and grip well when it is wet as well as performing well in bad weather.

I have replaced the old ones with the same model and these Michelin tyres are specially made for this Mercedes. They give great traction on the road and stay firm when it is raining. However, I have not tested them in snow or on ice.
