Product description & features

The Michelin CrossClimate+ is an all-season tyre that holds the 3PMSF marking for certified winter use by retaining its wet and snowy tread features as it wears. Unlike standard all-season tyres, the CrossClimate+ is designed to offer winter traction, unlike traditional all-season tyres that compromiser grip and dry traction as they wear. Its directional V-shaped design has pronounced outer edges to channel water and snow away from the centre of the tyre and assist with lateral grip. Michelin’s EverGrip Technologies incorporates progressively widening grooves, allowing the tyre to maintain its wet-weather channel for later use.

The CrossClimate+ is the intermediate version of the CrossClimate, and the version before the CrossClimate 2, Michelin’s latest all-season tyre. The CrossClimate+ features a rubber that provides grip at lower temperatures. At Tyres.co.uk, we stock Michelin CrossClimate+.

Highlights

  • All-season tyre
  • Certified winter use marking
  • V-shaped tread pattern
  • Lower-temperature grip

Everything is going fine but I have only changed the back tyres. They seem to be wearing well considering they are all-season. I plan to change the front tyres later.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 175/70R14 88T XL
I drove 3,000 miles shortly after getting my first set of new tyres, and while passing through the Pyrenees, I encountered the worst rain in my 50 years of driving. The tyres performed excellently, did not aquaplane, and gave me confidence that my old tyres could not.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 175/70R14 88T XL
Excellent traction under all conditions. Even snow conditions, they will get you home, unless you are too heavy on the fuel, then you may skid. I have used these tyres since they were first launched by Michelin, and they keep to their promises. I have fitted the tyres across my whole family, even the sporty ones. Not to brag, but they are genuinely up to the job.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 175/70R14 88T XL
I had no problems controlling the car with the new tyres, no matter the conditions. The grip gives me confidence driving in the snow, and the cold weather. I do notice a small drop in fuel efficiency, however I feel it is a fair trade off. I would also consider buying these tyres again as they have a good durability.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate+ 175/70R14 88T XL
These tyres are great for my SX4, offering great traction in both 2WD and 4WD. The reinforced sidewalls protect the wheels from the many potholes that are in our lovely UK roads.

I think they are good all-round winter tyres. I feel safe with them on ice and snow.
