Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV summer tyres claim to offer road and surface longevity thanks to the high-elasticity rubber compounds that minimise impact surface friction. It contains a front-back directional water dispersal tread design. The outer edge tread blocks are made stiffer and centre ribs are expanded to assist dry surface braking and driving. Goodyear claims the design of this compound is Mileage Plus Technology and helps the rubber adapt to uneven surfaces.

Tread design for Goodyear's Wet Braking Technology has lowered stiffness which allows the blocks to bend and wipe water from the road. In Dry Stability Plus Technology, the centre ribs, and outer blocks, expand and stiffen to inhibit tread deformation while braking. Dry Stability Plus Technology is an improvement from the EfficientGrip SUV. Goodyear says it provides 25% more tyre life and 4 to 5% improvements in braking times wet and dry, respectively. All winter weather conditions are tough, especially for new tyres. But these tyres grip optimally on wet and slushy roads. I have also noticed considerable improvements in the handling of my 4x4 on icy hills when Goodyear tyres are on the front compared to other brands on the back. I will also be getting Goodyear tyres for the back next.

The rate at which these tyres wear down does not impress me, and is on par with cheaper tyres. As the tread wears down, the noise the tyres make increases and becomes more pronounced. On the other hand, the tyres do still provide an adequate amount of grip. Overall, these tyres do not provide the value they should because of how much I paid for them, and how long I have owned them.
