Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 is a summer tyre that was engineered based on high-speed braking procedures. This particular tyre features the Dunlop’s Short Braking Blocks that ensures optimal road contact with the brakes. Dynamic Response Technology helps transmit steering information from the wheel to the tyre and then to the road. Bringing the brake contact between the wheel and the tyre closer helps achieve greater stiffness of the tyre. The continuous grooves along the tyre from the front to the back help in draining the water and moisture from the tyre.

The Sport Maxx RT2 is a part of the Dunlop performance road tyre range, which is a replacement of the Sport Maxx RT tyre. The Dunlop Adaptive Compound consists of various rubber types located throughout the tyre surface that allows it to adapt to the variations of stiffness during braking. Side wall damage can help maintain the pressure in the tyre after the blowout. The Sport Maxx RT2 and the Run-Flat variants are available at Tyres.co.uk.

The tyres are great in any weather. Heavy rain also does not impact cornering and braking. I haven't tested the tyres in deep snow and based on the tread I would expect only average performance.

While my vehicle is a Quattro and is able to grip extremely well, these tyres make my vehicle feel particularly stable, even when it is wet and boosts my confidence when cornering. We recently had snow and ice. Regardless of the fact that these tyres are designed for summer, they handled the weather extremely well and my traction control did not activate even once. I would definitely pick these tyres again.
