Product description & features

The VanContact 4Season 2 from Continental is equipped with a V-shaped tread to channel water away and improve traction on light commercial vehicle tread. It also features cold weather and light snow tread block slits for improved traction on cold and snowy surfaces. The casing is reinforced to allow for the daily wear and tear of stopping and starting as well as the unpredictable contact with the kerb that a full van might bring. The all-season compound is intended to wear slowly over time, even with stop-start driving.

The versions that are 3PMSF-labelled meet the minimum requirements to provide adequate traction in snowy conditions and allow for van usage in the winter months, as well as the warm months. The tread also is marked with an M+S sidewall for use in muddy conditions. You can find the VanContact 4Season 2 on Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • V-shaped tread channels water
  • Cold weather and snow slits
  • Reinforced casing for kerb contact
  • Slow-wearing all-season compound

Tyre review for Continental Van Contact 4 Season 2 225/75R16 121R
I'm happy with them so far, even if they've yet to face snow. Given the new winter tyre legislation in Europe, Continental All Seasons are going to be good for the upcoming changes.

Tyre review for Continental Van Contact 4 Season 2 225/75R16 121R
I have had no issues with grip while driving in snow and ice in France. The tyres are also very quiet and help with fuel consumption. I look forward to increasing the mileage on the car and will keep you updated.

The tyres are wearing evenly; I expect that they'll go at least 32,000 miles on the front of the car.

Tyre review for Continental Van Contact 4 Season 2 225/75R16 121R
Excellent grip on wet and icy roads. Unlike others slipping, I was able to ascend an icy road with ease. On the motorway, it is slightly noisy and that is generally the trade-off for having winter grip.

They seem to be doing better on grass so far - I haven't tried them on a wet grassy hill yet though.

Tyre review for Continental Van Contact 4 Season 2 225/75R16 121R
I purchased all season tyres as they are recommended for snowy conditions. I own a Fiat Ducato 6.75m motorhome and they coped really well with the slippery and snowy conditions of Northern Scotland and the French Alps. They are not very noisy and are good to use all year round.
