Product description & features

The Continental Sport Contact 5 is a premium summer tyre. The BlackChili compound used provides impressive braking and cornering control. The Sport Contact 5 uses an asymmetric tread design. Larger tread blocks are placed on the outer edge for cornering and braking support. Centre tread blocks stiffen at high speeds and a steady line is maintained by the centre ribs. The 3D grooves remove water from the contact patch.

The Sport Contact 5’s successor is the SportContact 6. The SportContact 6 also comes in ContiSeal and SSR constructions. ContiSeal tyres have a sealing layer beneath the tread which seals punctures up to 5mm. SSR (Self Supporting Runflat) tyres are constructed with reinforced sidewalls that support the vehicle after a loss of air pressure. Tyres.co.uk has extensive stocks of the Continental Sport Contact 5 in SSR and ContiSeal constructions.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 5 265/40R21 101Y
They've been great until now. Planning a longer journey next Monday. I'm also curious to see how they'll perform in winter, since having a secure grip is really important to me.

They are good for both dry and wet conditions, but do not last long.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 5 265/40R21 101Y
These tyres work really well in both wet and dry conditions. Although they are not the cheapest option, they are worth the investment as they have lasted an amazing 10,000 miles each year, with the front tyres lasting about two years, and the rear tyres lasting about a year and a half.
