The symmetrical tread on the Continental ContiSportContact 2 provides an advantage when it comes to warm weather steering and braking. The tread design is made with a stiff centre section to aid acceleration and braking. The outer edge of the tread has stiff blocks to aid cornering. Long tread grooves that are wider than the blocks provide water displacement. The tread design aids both dry and wet traction.

For vehicles that need to support a higher weight, the ContiSportContact 2 is available in reinforced XL versions. The ContiSportContact 2 is made for driving when temperatures are above 7 degrees. At Tyres.co.uk, we keep the reinforced XL versions in stock.

Conti Sports continue to be unrivaled. They offer great wet grip and smooth handling at the limits. Dry grip is getting better although I haven't done 500 miles so they aren't fully settled. These are some of the best performance tyres on the market for the price.

All perfectly reasonable. I had these fitted as essential replacements before driving to Cornwall with my family, so reliability was key. They performed brilliantly in all conditions from rainy to freezing on all types of roads. Braking, cornering and comfort were all up to standard.

The performance has been equally consistent as I've swapped them for the same type. Also, the tyres do not tend to get stones stuck in them, and as BMW does not provide a spare wheel, it has been crucial that they have not had any punctures in the last three years.

These are my second pair for my 1999 Honda Prelude 2.0L, which has about 140bhp. My first set lasted 50,000 miles, 10,000 on the front and 40,000 on the back, and still had almost 3mm tread left, but with the weather about to change, I decided to get them swapped. At £107 each for 205/50R16, I thought they were well priced. They replaced my Falken FK452s, which only did about 19,000 miles on the front and 22,000 total. I think the Continentals should last 30,000 miles at least on the front before rotation.

Having new tyres fitted gives a new car feeling. I'm going to soon change the front tyres which will hopefully make the drive even smoother. These tyres provide a sense of stability and grip.
