The Continental PremiumContact 6 focuses on wet weather performance and cornering control in the design and construction of the tyre, as a summer season premium tyre. Continental’s Safety Silica Compound gives the tyre extra grip under wet weather conditions and maintains the summer season responsive feel. The PremiumContact 6’s tread design is asymmetric. The outer edge of the tyre features macro-block design shoulder elements. Continental’s Safety Silica Compound helps the inner edge of the PremiumContact 6 follow the road and has a water evacuation design. The PremiumContact 7 succeeded the 6 in the Continental range. Several variants feature noise cancelling, foam inner linings, and other variants feature a sealing, protective layer that prevents punctures. In my opinion, these tyres are better than Pirellis as they grip better in the rain than Pirellis, compared to Pirellis, Pirellis are louder and less enjoyable to drive than these tyres. Overall, I am pleased.
