The Continental Premium Contact 2 summer tyre has short wet and dry braking distances thanks to its asymmetric tread pattern. These tyres feature Continental's 3D-Groove technology. Unlike standard grooves, the 3D-Groove technology uses a series of interlocking walls to brace the tread blocks. With an asymmetric design, the Bionic Contour groove shape changes under braking, which helps drive water out of the grooves and reduces aquaplaning.

The SSR version has the same inner construction as the Premium Contact 2, but uses Continental's self-supporting runflat technology. This technology is designed for vehicles equipped with a tyre-pressure monitoring system, after losing tyre pressure the sidewalls will support the weight of the vehicle. Continental claims that with a puncture the tyres can be run for 50 miles at a maximum speed of 50 miles per hour. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the SSR version of the Continental Premium Contact 2.

Changed to these tyres from the original Dunlops and straight away saw a huge difference - my vehicle handles a lot better. They are also great with wintry and wet conditions. I fitted two of these tyres before last winter and would highly recommend them for a Honda Jazz. The Dunlops were awful!

These tyres are indeed more expensive and also tend to wear out faster (approximately 18,000 miles) than harder rubber alternatives, but the phenomenal performance, particularly in wet conditions, makes them worth the money. You definitely get your money's worth.

I fitted these tyres on my Megane CC but the front didn't have grip. I later changed to Hankooks which resolved the front grip issue. They also wore down poorly, so overall, I'm happy the problem improved.

I recently fitted new tyres on my car and I am very pleased with their performance. I drove more than 1000 miles on the motorway this weekend from Inverness to Manchester and back. The handling was decent, but considering it's priced higher than my previous Toyo Proxes T1-Rs, I expected it to be better. In my experience, they appeared to wear out faster than all my previous tyres and looked rather dull and rounded at the shoulders, lacking RIM protection. Additionally, the cornering stability was lacking, and that really diminished my confidence at higher speeds.

I've had this used car for six months and decided to put the exact same tyres it came with from the factory.
