The Continental CrossContact UHP is designed for summer use with a focus on performance for SUVs. It has an asymmetric tread pattern for cornering and an outer edge that has big blocks. There are wide grooves that run around the tyre that remove water from beneath the tread and inner side channels move water away from the tyre. Continental's special rubber compound has high silica content and is designed for dry and wet road braking. It is also designed to hold the weight of an SUV. Adapted versions of the CrossContact UHP also have special sidewall markings for use on Audi or Mercedes SUVs. A match to the vehicle's sidewall marking is the recommended fitment.
