Max-performance summer tyre woven into original-equipment specifications for high-performance vehicles Potenza RE050 uses an asymmetric tread pattern combining cornering with outer edge and back-to-front drainage grooves. The outer edge consists of a continuous and interconnected block pattern helping the tyre retain its structure during cornering. A continuous centre rib offers assistance to both steering and stability in the same line, and an outer edge, and a rubber compound with silica improves performance in summer and offers stability.

RE050As have an asymmetric layout and may also be run-flats. They may also be tyre specifications for Audi and BMW and may be marked with a run-flat construction. RE050As may also possess a star marking for BMWs, and may also be Audi’s official mark, helping specify their construction. When my 275/50/19 tyres were new, I heard a rubbing sound when I turned hard left and accelerated. As the tyres wore, the sound went away. I still have not replaced the front tyres and am running 275/50/19 Bridgestone Duellers.

I've had these tyres on my car for a year now, during which time I've driven 17,000 miles experience a combination of country roads and A and M roads. They have over 4mm of tread left. The fuel efficiency and grip have not changed but they are certainly much noisier than the Pirelli P Zeros I had before.

These tyres perform well in the wet. I went across a large puddle on the motorway at 70 mph and didn't experience any aquaplaning. There is enough grip for normal driving in dry conditions. I have cornered dry a bit and they were good. After adjusting the alignment using a Hunter's machine for the better. They're not the most silent tyres, but about the same as the other run flats I've had. I can't say much about how they will wear as of yet.

When I changed all four tyres, I also had the alignment changed. It's changed a lot regarding the car's driving and performance. I have come to realise that the suspension and the tyres take a beating, so I will get them checked more frequently. The car is now driving a lot quieter and smoother and feels more responsive. The tram-lining problem that annoyed me is gone. I recommend both the tyres and Tyres.co.uk and their fitters. If you are changing more than one tyre, you should get the alignment done as well.

As expected, they perform well for a premium priced tyre, but I'm worried about the low treadwear rating. They are just as expensive as the Michelins I used to have, but their life span is only half of the Michelins. I have been genuinely impressed by the performance of the Bridgestone M729s. I took a long drive with them last weekend, and I was impressed with the stability of the tyres at speed. Also, those tyres have great grip in wet conditions. I have had tyres from other brands, and I feel like these have proven to provide superior ride quality. Even on the motorways, the tyres absorb bumps which smooths out the ride a lot. While cornering, the tyres maintain grip which is reassuring and prevents them from sliding. I have noticed an increase in fuel efficiency, probably because of the low rolling resistance. I am very confident in the longevity of the tyres and would highly recommend them. I am really happy with the ride comfort and handling of the tyres. I would like to get a set of these tyres for the back of my car soon because of how well these tyres have performed. If you are considering buying new tyres, these are a very good option because of the performance and comfort that they provide. I have no regrets buying these tyres and I look forward to seeing how well they perform in winter.

I really am quite impressed, this is definitely better than my initial expectations when I first bought. I'll for sure consider them again next time. The only thing is that I have only seen their peak performance so far. I still do not know how the car performs when the tread is down to 4.0 and below. It feels like I am starting to experience a slight lack of stability as they are wearing down, and a bit of drifting and slipping when starting off.

I fitted Bridgestone RS2 Steer tyres after some recommendations from friends, and can say they live up to the hype. The ride feels smoother, which helps on long journeys. I've had no issues with grip, both dry and wet. These handle back roads well which previous tyres struggled on. Worth the price, I would buy these again.

I've had these tyres on my car for just about a year, and during that time, they have performed brilliantly on a range of road conditions and a variety of weather, including a three month period of 40 degrees in Spain. The rear tyres will now need to be changed, but the front ones still have a good amount of tread left.
