Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT

I've off-roaded a few vehicles and planned for these to do worse. Off-road I off-road revealed an unexpected level more struggle than I anticipated.

As expected from an off-road and on-road versatile knobbly tyre, they are noisy. On long journeys, they warm up due to some shear heating, but they have decent longevity. With the many holes and inconsistent patches, small and local roads are in bad condition. Chunky tyres are advantageous in these scenarios. They also perform better on deeper water. I didn't want to spend a lot on expensive tyres because if a nail gets them, they can't be repaired, and that's a lot more money. Overall, these tyres have good performance for their price in comparison to anything fancier that would cost more for no benefit. I'll be doing some light off-roading with them.

The fitting was easy and the guys were awesome and had everything needed. The delivery was fast and the tyres arrived when expected. My car drives so much better and is a lot more stable on the road. Very happy with the professional service all around.

285/70 R17 are 4x4 off-road and pick-up truck tyres requiring high ground clearance like in jungles or on farms. 285 means the width of the tyre is 285mm. 70 means the tyre's aspect ratio is 70%, so the sidewall height is 70% of 285mm, which is 200mm. R17 means the tyre is radial and is mounted on a 17-inch rim. 285/70 R17 has an overall diameter of 831mm.
