The Yokohama GT Special Y350 is a summer tyre designed for passenger cars. It is built around a tyre design that maximises the clearing of surface water through wide grooves that run around the circumference of the tyre while achieving consistency for everyday driving. The Y350 has channels that divert water from the tread. A firm centre section of the tread is designed to aid in high-speed driving on motorways (freeways), while the blocks of tread on the outer edge are designed to aid in cornering. The design also has a built-in feature to keep the tread uniformly in contact with the road as the tyre ages.
The Y350 is designed for use in temperatures above 7 degrees and uses its tread design to reduce road noise during long driving sessions.
