The Yokohama Advan Sport A348 high-performance summer tyre excels in wet conditions and uses a silica-based flexible formulation. The longitudinal grooves in the tyre tread concentrate on moving water laterally away from the tread surface. The transverse micro slits in the grooves provide breaking edges and improve the steering response and control in wet and dry conditions.

Yokohama claims that the silica-based compound tyre reduces fuel consumption and increases tread wear. The grooved channel in the tread surface and transverse slits aid in dispersing surface water. Tyres.co.uk sells the Yokohama Advan Sport A348.

The fitting experience was just ok. Perhaps I expected a little more detail with regards to the tyres from the fitter, whose comments seemed a little rushed and did not give an overall appraisal of what to perform.

I got these fitted last week, and the difference is remarkable. They were balanced well and the changeover from my old tyres has been fantastic. My steering feels more responsive now, particularly when turning. I am very pleased so far, and I am excited to see how they drive in the future, particularly when it's wet.
