The Uniroyal RainSport 3 is a summer performance tyre constructed for clearing standing water. With a directional tread, it guides water through back to front grooves. The channels of the tread also use Shark Skin Technology, a surface texture inspired by the skin of a shark, designed to reduce turbulence to aid in the effective movement of water through the tread. Uniroyal’s Grip Compound is used for enhanced grip on both wet and dry tarmac, leading to shorter braking distances. The flexible Shoulder Blocks help the tread retain the blocking grip to respond to the cornering force and aid steering.

The RainSport 3 is available in some sizes with reinforced XL construction for higher load capacity vehicles. This model has since been succeeded by the RainSport 5 in Uniroyal’s summer collection, although the RainSport 3 is still offered for those replacing the same tyre. They perform really well and provide brilliant traction on both dry and wet conditions and are even better in the wet. Out of all the tyres, they provide the best all round value for UK roads and weather and provide the same grip as more expensive brands.

The increased noise from the front passenger side was not there before. Has the tracking and bearing checked, and they are both fine, so it should be the tyre.

The only circumstance in which these tyres may be useful would be if it's absolutely pouring rain. Otherwise they're very noisy, produce a lot of body roll in corners, and I had a sidewall pinch flat from a small pothole which required replacement. Next time I'll be going back to Dunlops.
